After 3 and a half years the PhD was finally submitted, defended, corrected and resubmitted (the life cycle of any PhD thesis).
The best advice I ever heard was ‘do a little bit very day, no matter how small’ and that is exactly what I did.
I remember days when I started work in a morning and didn’t finish until midnight, but I also remember days when I read a single paper and made a few notes and nothing else. But every day I did something.
For now, I’m going to leave this post short. It is more of a marker than a blog post. I might come back and update it in the future.
The next challenge is deciding to be Dr John Stamford or John Stamford, PhD.
